Autism Outreach for Schools

About Us

Autism Outreach for Schools is commissioned by Surrey County Council to be delivered by Freemantles School through a partnership arrangement. Freemantles is the lead school that works with other schools through partnership agreements and a Partnership Board with representation of all participating schools delivering Autism Outreach, local authority commisioners and other stakeholders . Our partnerships schools are Limpsfield Grange and Woodlands

Our aim is to support mainstream schools to meet the needs of their autistic and neuro-diverse pupils or those undiagnosed but struggling in similar areas. We work with mainstream schools to promote inclusive whole school practice (universal support) as well as supporting staff working with individual pupils (targeted support).

The outreach teams are made up of teachers and teaching assistants who have a range of training in autism-specific strategies, and many staff have experience working in both mainstream and specialist school settings.

As the lead school, Freemantles are responsible for quality assurance monitoring, evaluation and reporting to the Partnership board and Surrey County Council Commissioning Teams.
